When our founder Robert Bicknell was in his early days as a professional goldsmith, he would walk over the Holborn Viaduct bridge in the City of London daily on his way to work. On this bridge are four statues of winged lions with their paws resting on a globe. Something about the power and strength of the lion appealed to Rob, and so it became a mascot or emblem that followed him as his career progressed. So when it came to designing a logo for his eponymous bespoke jewellery business, the lion was a perfect choice.
