Robert Bicknell Fine Jewellery is a handmade jewellery boutique and workshop based in Chislehurst, on the border between southeast London and Kent. Established in 2007 as Flawless Jewellery, the business has recently undergone a transformation and is now known by the name of its founder, owner and professional goldsmith, Robert Bicknell.

Our Chislehurst jewellers specialises in bespoke jewellery, remodelling projects, repairs and antique restorations. We work with private clients to bring their ideas to life, whether they are searching for a unique engagement ring or handmade gemstone jewellery.

We pride ourselves on care, attention and exceptional quality. Our goal is to provide a beautiful alternative to mass-produced jewellery found on the High Street. With Robert Bicknell Fine Jewellery, you can experience true British design and quality craftsmanship at its best, without unnecessary pomp and circumstance.

From drawings and designs, to soldering, setting, polishing and packaging, we offer a complete bespoke jewellery experience tailored to you. Whether you’re ready to get started or simply looking for a bit of advice, we are here to help.

Robert Bicknell

Rob got his start in jewellery making early thanks to a five-year apprenticeship in diamond mounting, which he completed by the age of 20. He started working in Hatton Garden, the famous jewellery district of London, before moving on to the home of luxury jewellery, Bond Street. Here he learned the art of antique jewellery restoration, including working on high-profile pieces for the late Queen Mother.

After working in London for the best part of a decade, Rob was headhunted by one of Australia’s largest jewellery workshops and relocated to work on pieces such as the prestigious Australia Cup before returning to England.

"I have dedicated my career to bespoke jewellery. Now, I create handmade jewellery my way and showcase a signature style that’s all my own."

Master Goldsmith

Rob decided to open his own bespoke jewellery workshop in Hatton Garden, where he made pieces for London’s finest luxury jewellers and private clients. He opened his first store in Chislehurst in 2007 to focus on handmade jewellery, jewellery remodelling and restorations. In 2020, Rob relaunched his business as Robert Bicknell Fine Jewellery – a destination for bespoke jewellery in southeast London and for clients in Croydon, Bromley and Greenwich.

In 2012, Rob was chosen over more than 20 jewellers in Southeast London to create an installation for Queen Elizabeth II and The Duke of Edinburgh to celebrate Her Majesty’s Diamond Jubilee. He was honoured to meet Her Majesty personally and receive her compliments about his skills in fine jewellery making.

Meet the Team

Tracy

Tracy has been part of the Robert Bicknell Fine Jewellery team since October 2017. As the manager, Tracy serves as ‘The Guvnor’s’ gatekeeper… especially when he is busy making bespoke jewellery pieces in our on-site workshop. Tracy strives to build strong, trusting and long-term relationships with customers. In fact, many customers come back time and time again for anniversary jewellery gifts and special occasion presents. Tracy is the first point of contact for all jewellery enquiries and appointments, so feel free to get in touch to start your handmade jewellery journey.

Anastasia

Having over 20 years retail experience in luxury bands such as Chanel, Dior, Lalique and Loewe. Working in prestigious stores such as Harrods, Harvey Nichols and Selfridges. Anastasia overseeing decor, display advertising campaigns, promotions and customer service.

Candy

Our shop security is run by Candy, the loveable Staffordshire Bull Terrier. Don’t be fooled by her stature because Candy is a huge softy who only wants a cuddle or a snack if you have any on you. She will be the first to meet you at the door and welcome you to Chislehurst. Candy is occasionally joined by her right-hand man – the extremely cute French Bulldog Ronnie. He still has a lot to learn, however, and tends to spend most of his time rolling around on the floor staring at the handmade gemstone jewellery pieces on our shelves.
