Our Threepence Coin Pendants celebrate the traditional British thruppence or ‘thruppenny bit’, which was a common form of currency from 1547–1970. The threepence coins we use in our British-made pendants are from the time following the reign of Queen Victoria in the early- to mid-1900s.
Threepence coins have always been thought of as a good luck charm. They were traditionally the coins put into Christmas puddings to bring good fortune to whoever received the right helping!
We’ve set these original coins in a frame of 9k yellow gold and suspended them from an 18-inch trace chain that’s also crafted in 9k yellow gold. Pick up the phone and speak to a member of our team to discuss alternative metal and chain options.
The Robert Bicknell Diffusion Collection contains a fantastic selection of pendants that are available in-store and online. Shop our Gold Sideways Cross necklace, our Solid Gold Acorn Pendant and our Gold Disc Pendant that can be engraved with your choice of letters in two font styles.
