About The Workshop

A Jeweller's Studio in the Heart of Chislehurst

Robert Bicknell Fine Jewellery was born in this workshop. Every piece — whether a bespoke engagement ring, a remodelled heirloom or a one-off commission — passes through Rob's hands here before it reaches yours.

The Workshop Store is open to the public. You can walk in, browse the collection, drop off a repair, or sit down with Rob and his team to discuss a commission. There is no pressure and no rush — just craftsmanship and conversation.

Robert did a magnificent job in repairing and resizing my wedding band and engagement ring which had been tucked away in a drawer for years as I wasn't sure to whose hands I could trust them. I definitely found the right man for the job and I am so pleased with my rings that are like I first wore them 20 years ago. It wasn't an easy repair as platinum can be temperamental but he addressed the repair with great skill and professionalism. I can thoroughly recommend Robert to handle your beloved jewellery.

I had such a great experience with Robert. I came to him with one of my mum's favourite rings, which was broken in two places and missing a stone; I did not think it could be fixed, especially as it was quite an unusually constructed and delicate ring. After discussing with Robert, he advised that he could do it. The result was just astonishing, it looked brand new! My mum was so happy to be able to wear her ring again, we are so happy with Roberts work. I had an excellent experience with Robert Bicknell Fine Jewellery. Robert enlarged my late grandfather’s dress ring, and the result was amazing. The craftsmanship was flawless — the ring looked fantastic while still preserving all its original character and sentimental value. He also renewed the clasps on two of my gold necklaces and, along with other items I’d left with him, gave them all a thorough clean, bringing back their shine.
