Step 1

Jewellery Design Consultation

We work closely with each client from the very first consultation to understand their vision and design preferences. Our bespoke jewellery process starts with an in-depth consultation at our studio where we discuss styles, materials and inspirations to guide your jewellery design.

Step 2

Select Your Gemstones

Choosing the right gemstone is one of the most exciting parts of the bespoke journey. During this step we will guide you to select stones that reflect your personality and style. We offer a wide selection of diamonds, sapphires, emeralds, rubies and more. Whether you prefer classic or contemporary, we will help you find the perfect match.

Step 3

Choose Your Jewellery Design

We will work with you to refine a design that perfectly captures your vision. Whether inspired by existing pieces or completely original, we will create detailed drawings and CAD renderings so you can visualise your jewellery before it is made. You can also engage in the making process and create the setting yourself.

Step 4

Handcrafting Your Jewellery

Every single piece of jewellery is individually handcrafted through a unique, entirely in-house process unlike anything in the industry. Robert Bicknell has over 30 years of experience creating beautiful, bespoke fine jewellery. Every component is made with extraordinary care and skill.

Step 5

The Grand Unveiling

The moment your piece is revealed. We will carefully present your finished jewellery and ensure you are completely thrilled with the result. Whether it is an engagement ring, a necklace, or a special gift, your bespoke piece will be a treasured heirloom for generations to come.

Robert did a magnificent job in repairing and resizing my wedding band and engagement ring which had been tucked away in a drawer for years as I wasn't sure to whose hands I could trust them. I had such a great experience with Robert. I came to him with one of my mum's favourite rings, which was broken in two places and missing a stone; I did not think it could be fixed, especially as it was quite an unusually constructed and delicate ring. After discussing with Robert, he advised that he could do it. The result was just astonishing, it looked brand new! I had an excellent experience with Robert Bicknell Fine Jewellery. Robert enlarged my late grandfather’s dress ring, and the result was amazing. The craftsmanship was flawless — the ring looked fantastic while still preserving all its original character and sentimental value. He also renewed the clasps on two of my gold necklaces and, along with other items I’d left with him, gave them all a thorough clean, bringing back their shine.
